A different kind of Christmas Carol

We've decided we need to start exposing our children to the arts (the symphony, theater, etc.). When Meghan and Caleb were both still little Shauna and I had four season tickets to Pioneer Theatre at the U. We'd invite a different couple to go with us for each show.

Today while researching schedules and prices for other theater options in the Salt Lake valley I came across this apparently unique rendition of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol that is coming this December to Hale Center Theatre:

Screenshot of the description of 'A Christmas Carol' at halecentertheatre.org
"A delicious, Caribbean legend... This extraordinary treat sways with rich, tropical color and music! Ti Moune, plucked from a tall tree after a storm, is sheltered by the island gods...but will an inbred class system alter her fate? A rare legend dripping with unbounded joy, intrigue and simple wisdom. Rhythmic music will haunt you..."

So far I've only purchased tickets to Les Misérables at PTC. But Hale Center Theatre's website is already entertaining me.

I love it when mess that up. I wonder if Once on This Island has A Christmas Carol's description.
